Bird Watching
The Greater Kruger Park is well known for its incredibly rich bird life! Our reserve is brimming with hundreds of varieties of birds, from the majestic Martial Eagle (the largest eagle in Africa) to the vibrant colourful Woodlands Kingfisher, arriving on our riverfront during the summer months. The iconic calls of our resident Fish Eagle’s can often be heard from along the river.
Excellent bird watching can be done right from the comfort of your room and in front of the lodge, either along the riverfront, or take a short walk to the hide. Safari drives or wilderness walks are another great opportunity to see how many species you can spot and quiet time spent at the Dangeni Dam Hide is especially rewarding.
